Need CAmera: Help! frustrated

I am going on a dance tour soon and I want to be able to take successive images of quick action without having to wait too long between shots. I also want to be able to make nice clear enlargements, up to poster size. I also like to zoom in on pictures sometimes when I am editing. I am willing to pay but an an inexpensive nice camera would be preferable and I am not adverse to having to learn to something other than a point and shoot. Everytime I go into a camera shop thinking that I finally have decided on a camera, another camera is reccommended to me and I have to start all over with my research. Thank you.

I think the Canon A710 IS is a great choice. It's not too expensive - about $300; has 7 megapixels, so you can enlarge shots well; has a 6x zoom; and offers a sports shooting mode that lets you take shots in 'burst mode' - for action shots.

That said, there are many good cameras out there - it shouldn't be too hard to find one that meets your needs.

Good luck-
