Yes this camera comes with a Rechargeable EN-EL5 Battery and Battery Charger; take up to 200 pictures on a single charge. So there you go, simple, all you have to do is plug it in, a baby could do it.

Note: don't let baby plug things in.

Hi Joe Thanks for your reply ref rechargable batteries and battery charger. At the moment I am unsure which camera to buy, I have been downloading info on several cameras namely Sony Cyber DSC_N1 Olympus Stylus 810 Nikon coolpix P4 and NokonCoolpixP3, do they all come with rechargable batteries and a battery charger. I am looking for a not too expensive 8/8.1megapixel camera with rechargable batteries and a charger . Please can you advise

hi david,
i advice u to opt between p3 and canon A630, both r very gud high end 8 mp cameras with great reviews, i have used both of these and find the picture quality to be really great, bt p3 comes with a additional benefit of wifi, cables being the thing of past, so i give it more weightage, moreover it also fixes the problem of red eye and at these prices,its one of the most attractive buys

How does one charge battery?I have ttried both computer chargibg and with a box(adapter $10.00) and plugging into wall.

Nothing happens...shouldn't a light come on to indicate it is charging?
