How is the LCD screen in bright sunlight and in low light?

On my present Sony DSC-S75 I cannot see anything on the LCD in bright sunlight. So I need to use the optical viewfinder. Since the T100 does not have a viewfinder, if bright sunlight is an issue I would not consider buying this camera.
Likewise, how is the LCD in low light?

Irene,

I would say this camera's LCD will be fine in low light. In bright light, you'll probably have issues. You can purchase covers that shade the LCD of some cameras, but I can't find one for this camera.

Thanks, Andrew. I was also thinking that a shade, but couldn't find one. Thinking of how I could make one myself - haven't come up with an answer yet.
In the meantime, I found a Nikon Coolpix S10 that has a swivel-body where the lens can be set at an angle to get the picture wanted while the LCD can be angled away from the brightest light. I'm considering this camera instead of the Sony T100. Are you familiar with this Nikon?
Thanks, Irene

Irene,

I've used a Coolpix before, just not this one. They are easy to use, and the swivel lens function would definitely get you a better angle for the LCD screen. the 10x optical zoom is cool on the Nikon S10 as well.

Delkin devices makes a very good pop-up shade for the T-100 (Universal Pop-Up Shade for 3.0" LCDs Model Number: DU3.0-M ) I have one, and as a bonus, it comes with a screen protector. The protector with the mounting frame mounts to the camera via an adhesive strip, and the actual pop-up hood slides on to the bracket which is great since you can remove it for indoor shots and the protector remains in place. On the Delkin website you will find it along with a whole bunch of other accessories for your cameras.
