Your camera manual indicates on pages 65 and 68 that you can adjust the LCD brightness under the setup menu. It doesn't state specifically how to do this but perhaps some investigation on your part using the menu button and looking for monitor setting in the setup menu will give the desired result. Also, your LCD has an LED backlight which can go dim or start to flicker with age, and that would require a pro repair to fix. Assuming your camera is relative new try adjusting the monitor brightness setting first. If that does not fix the problem, then you could try a "reset all" also found in the setup menu. That will set the monitor on #4 of a possible 5 for brightness. If that all fails, then you should take it in to your camera store for a checkup and possible repair.

Hi there thank you for the information however it didn't work when I changed the monitor from 4 to 5. I just bought the camera last week and still figuring everything out. I also videoed Christmas morning and it is alittle dark too. I'm not sure what to do. Thank you for your advise however any other suggestions would be great.
