I have a coolpix 990, thinking of updating. I like it very much, I would like something as good if not bettr, with not quite as much weight.

I don't want something so small that the buttons are hard to push and see. I want good quality, but I'm not a professional. I travel a lot and want something a little smaller that is easier to travel with. Also, the 990 is a little slow to respond, such as mutliple shots, and the flash takes a while to get ready.

I think the Nikon S10 is a great choice because it works very similar to the 990 but has a new more interesting design. So you will feel like you are using a new high tech camera (which it is) and one that has updated features from the 990. Cool design, compact too.
