Nikon Coolpix S1 Details

Editors' Comments

The pocket-sized Nikon Coolpix S1 is Nikon's answer to the Sony DSC-T33. Both cameras offer remarkably thin, all-metal bodies that make them perfect companions for a night on the town. Despite the Nikon S1's tiny size, (it is only 3/4" thick) it sports a huge 2.5" LCD and a 3x optical zoom. With a camera of this size there is not much room for manual controls, so the S1 has 17 different scene modes, which can optimize settings for subjects ranging from sunsets to museums. The S1 also comes standard with a "Cool-Station" docking station which makes recharging the S1 and transferring pictures a snap.
