Which camera is best for importing pictures into a landscape design program?

I intend to use a digital camera to take pictures of properties-in-need-of-landscape-design, import those images into a landscape design program and manipulate them as desired. Is there one type of camera that streamlines the importing process?

Hi Carole,
If your question is about the importing process then I think it will depend more on the software you're using than on the camera itself. Can you give us an idea of what landscape software you're talking about specifically? Maybe someone who is familiar with it can help you more than I can.

I had a feeling that would be the case, but wanted to check out the possibilities. I am looking at the Punch! Master Landscape Pro Version 10, which does have an import function. Being new at this (not that you would guess), I wanted to know if the choice of camera could make a difference in how smoothly the software would work.

Hi Carole,
You should be fine as long as your software has the import function. Do keep in mind that if you want to do any photo editing separate from the landscape program, digital cameras come with their own software for photo import and manipulation, and some is better than others. But if you're only interested in using the landscape program then it's pretty much up to you which camera you pick.
