My coolpix S4 does not display the scene against the lense even after making it on and even after opening lence lid. Is there any setting problem ?

Othe desplay fuctions are OK. even klicking and Flashing is also Ok. But desplay sceen does not show what is lense is viewing.

Hi Hemendra,

Is the LCD screen just black?

You say that it will take photos and the flash still works. When you take a picture can you view it in the picture review mode, or are the pictures it takes solid black as well?

The same problem occured with me also....the repair shop person told me that its a common problem with this model and the Apperture is stuck.Reason may be starting it in low battery. Still looking for a place to get it repaired.

Is your problem similar to the one in the question "No image on screen"?

If so, try the tapping the lens trick - worked for me!
