How do you get more recording time for videos?

I would like to take a video more than twenty seconds long...so if anyone could help me that'd be great!

Well, this may be a restriction of the firmware or it could merely be a restriction of your card space. You could try a larger card, but I'd look for a firmware update that will address the issue. It's usually the problem - an arbitrary restriction based on the programming.

The default movie 640 limits you to 19 secs using the internal memory of 20 MB. But if you insert a memory card, this can be increased to 3 mins 40 secs with a 256 MB card or more with a 2 gb card.

So what you need probably is a higher capacity memory card to capture longer movie clips. If you find a card filed with pictures , you can also reduce the movie size to 320. to increase the video recording time.
movie 320 gives you 7 mins 20 secs recording time for every 256 MB.

Movie 320 can be accessed, while in Movie mode, by tapping the Home button, select Menu followed by Movie Options.
