Well, the good news is that since you got it at Christmas, you can send it in for repair under warranty. But before you do that, you should try resetting the camera and installing any available firmware updates. Sometimes the firmware can get a tad corrupted and that could toss off the white balance some. This could be part of your problem.
Otherwise, I wouldn't dally. Send it in to Nikon while your warranty is still in force.
