Don't panic , don't format your card and you will still have your pictures. Here's how :
Get a card reader, insert your memory card into the slot and plug the reader to the USB port of your computer.
The computer should be able to read the picture files in the card, in which case copy all of them to the hard disk.
If the computer cannot read the card, go to this site , download the Photorecovery software, run the program and your picture will be recovered.
If you have not decided to pay for the program, here is a free one.
