Using the Nikon D100 with Battery Pack

( - 3/3/05)

I have this camera and have used it in many tough situations now and it has passed with flying colors. I have 20 nikon lenses and used most of them with this camera so far . The lens that I really love with it is my 20-35mm 2.8 AFD or my 35-70mm 2.8 AFD Nikon. They give me a bit more wide angles and telephoto coverage with this format with the 1.5 x factor. The camera handles well with the battery pack on it and gives me a vertical shutter release and command control as well as a digital audio message recorder built in to the pack for short memos of the picture you just took. It also has 2 rechargable Lion batteries or you can use 6 AA's if needed with the supplied clip. The monitor is big enough but not the biggest and all of the controls are in just the right places. Also you can preview depth of field, a feature that I really need and love to have . The viewfinder is very bright and has a ton of info including vertical and horizontal lines if needed with the menu. All in all this D100 is a great camera and for what it does, including making top notch pictues, for the price, it's hard to beat!
