lenses from n90

will lenses that fit n80,n90 work properly on a d200 or d80

The beauty about Nikon lenses is that they are, by and large, backwards compatible. So you should be fine.

Thanks. but will my wide angle still be a wide angle, and what will be the effect on an 80 to 200 telephoto?

Well, my attitude is that there will always be something newer down the road. But I would wait until at least Black Friday before you take the plunge. There will be tons of deals going in as the holiday shopping season begins on that day.
