Does the Nikon D40 or D40X have Liveview, if not, which DSLR's do?

Does it at least have a preview BEFORE I take a picture b/c I don't use viewfinders much.

The D40/D40X do not. Many other models do, including the Olympus E-500 line, the Canon Rebels/ D-line, and a lot of others.

I tend to agree! Not just for that, but because it's got some other good features too. The D40 is great but is entry-level for DSLR, while the Rebel is pushing more towards pro level.

Well I need entry level though, that's why I'm getting it. I've never had a DSLR before & I read that it's a good introduction to it.

Thanks for your answers!
