Uh well... maybe I don't understand your question correctly, but it should always take colored photos by default, unless you changed your settings to monochrome. Go into the settings and take the monochrome (black and white) setting off the camera, and this should give you color photos.

Interpreting the Question slightly differently, Peter probably wantss to know how to take pictures using the manual modes of P,S,A, and M.
