How do I get a "forced" fill flash? I have tried EVERYTHING!

Manual flash exposure mode is available via Custom Settings Menu option 14. You can set its power output to fixed levels of full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32 power.

Well now I have a whole new world to try and understand and thank you for taking me where I have never gone before and did not even know existed. It looks like the camera won't let me use this option in Automatic so will have to keep on learnng about the camera. Again THANK YOU! Sherry Baribeau

Happy to help, sherry. I envy you just starting on the journey ... and doing it with digital so there's no hesitating with experimentation because of printing prices. If you don't like it, you can just his delete. So experiment and learn by doing! best of luck.
