Nikon D50 ,,Great Buy
(Bill Henry - 11/7/06)I waited and research for a year ,for the Right SLR to Buy .( I am A Techinian In this Field )
And Have Service Many Different Brands of Digital Cameras .)
And Finally Decided on the Nikon D50
Bought a 3yr Extera Ext Warranty , Extera Lens 70-300 mm , Flash Sd-22s (TTL is Non Compatble)
Remote and Lowepro Back Pack .
Anyway ,The D50 Was Worth it .
I Taken Over 800 pics at my inlaws 25 Annv .
The Pictures where Great!
Their a Professional Photographer using a D70 , In most Cases the pictures were matched , but Some of His pictures where Better ( Due to his Experiance.. lol)
the Battery Lasted over 12hrs (Wow)
The Speed was Great , Turn ON and shoot .
those little moments were Capture in a fraction as they Happen . (None of the this wait, the camera is processing and Focusing ..Ooops missed that shot,ever again )
The D50 has a Wealth of Opions that fit my needs
With onboard database of over 30,000 scenes from actual photography.
Noise Reduction circuitry for long exposures .
If you check a few review sites , Check out the Nite shots .
The Mirror Shutter assy is more Rebust and reliable then the Canon Rebel , A Small Plastic Clip Wears out,On the Canon. the user is left with less then a 1/4 of picture being taken ,
Reason ,,the lower focus mirror does not Fold up ,with the main Mirror . $500.00 repair . but have found a Simple ,repair costing have that amount .
If memory Serve me correctly , the D50 has dropped in Price . with and extra lens to Boot .
Decide no further , Nikon D50 .
