D50 is not obsolete!
(jim - 9/8/08)When bought new 2 1/2 years ago was considered an improvement on the D70 with better pictures and lighter weight, smaller size. Lacks some of the in-camera processing of the later D40, D40x, and D60 cameras but, for me, makes up for that with full compatibility with Nikon AFD lenses, of which I have lots. You have to go up to the D80, D90 to get that very useful feature. Most people believe that the 5 MP sensor is obsolete; however, I regularly have 20X30 poster prints made without difficulty and comparable to my medium format pix of the same size.
