will the nikon e40x accept any of the lens' from my Pentex K 1000 collection?

i have 3 Pentex K100s from the mid 80s to the late 80s they are in great shape and i have a lot invested in the lens' so would like a camera that the lens' fit, does the Nikon e40x accept these lense? And does it have a self timer?

Well, you could technically get an adapter, but then you'll have all kinds of issues with your lenses and metering and adjustments. It's better just to stick with cameras that have the same mounts. Since you have Pentax (I'm guessing you meant Pentax, correct me if I'm wrong), they can only be mounted on Pentax dSLRs, just as Nikons can only be mounted on Nikon SLRs. By this I mean that you could use an adapter to put them on any camera, but it is not recommended. So the answer to your question is no, the Nikon D40x (I'm guessing you also meant D40x, not e40x, again correct me if I'm wrong) will not accept the lenses. Try taking a look at the Pentax K20D, same price range, also a very good camera. And both these cameras, and just about every camera has a self timer. Hope this helps.

You need not be corrected, I needed the correction (sorry i was wrong, not you ..no excuse). Thank you for the information. I guess I should take at least one lens with me when I go shopping for a camera to see if they do work. Sounds like I do have options. So thanks for giving the heads up.
