Simply Fast

( - 12/17/04) This is my third digital camera. I always wanted a DSLR, but until the Nikon D-70 came along, I didn't want to pay the price. This is plain and simple, a great DSLR. I mated it with the Lexar 80X 512MB compact flash, and it just flies! With my other cameras I was always frustrated with the shutter lag. With the D-70, there is none. I have shot 5 and 6 frames by just holding the shutter with no lag at all, thanks the speed of the Lexar card. As to the quality of the pictures, there is not one objection I have as yet, and I have shot more than 3000 photos so far. Any bad picture was my fault and not that of the camera. I believe it is the most intuitive camera to operate. The learning curve was almost nil. Within 30 minuets I was shooting great pictures. The only negative is the price of Nikon's SB800 flash unit. Just way too much money.
