Our camera is wanting to format when it doesn't need it.

When we turn the camera on sometimes FOR (format) will be in the photo count box. Then next thing we know some of our pictures have been corrupted. This seems to be at random. We purchased a new CF card thinking it was the card but doesn't seem to be. Please help!

Reset your camera and update your firmware. This may help. Sometimes the firmware can corrupt when loading into the camera. But it may also be it needs servicing, the camera is 5 years old.
