Great piece of hardware!
(Steve Robinson - 7/19/08)I bought the D80 last year after a trip to Alaska. I had two frinds on the trip who both owned this camera, and I had a chance to play with one of them in Denali National Park. I was sold! The camera has capabilities that will allow the owner to shoot pretty much anything he or she wishes. My only disappointment was the inability to do extremely closeup work. I had a Fuji S9000 before, and I could shoot the mint mark on a penny with it, just a few inches away. I can't do that with this one unless I use some screw on lense adapters. This was certainly not a point worth passing on what is otherwise a very fine camera. I am very pleased with my purchase, and I am sure that it will do pretty much anything that I wish. So far, it has exceeded my expectations, and I am still learning how many of the options and controls work.
