Best memory card

What would be the best, fastest, but affordable memory card for this camera? My HP Pavillion laptop has a built-in reader, so I need the card to work with it. I bought a 2G Transcend 150x and the computer didn't read it. Thanks!

The computer may not read it because it's too fast. Cards have different speeds. The faster a card is, the quicker it'll save the photo and cycle to be ready for another shot. In the end, your camera is only going to be as fast as it's slowest link in the chain. So check for speed when you purchase a card.

Why not just invest about $10 into a USB memory card reader?

Best cards to use in my opinion are the lexar professional 133x or sandisk extreme 3. i have used several other brands as well but i find compatability wise that those work with most devices and computers. prices for these cards have gone down quite abit. or try sandisk ultra 2. depending on how many photos taken and qualitys set on the camera you may not notice a speed difference, unless you are doing burst and shooting raw and jpg at the same time.
speed is more of a transfer issue
