I want to take action photographs of racehorses. Will the D80 react quickly enough to capture the images & if so which lens do you recomend that shoul

I am producing brochures for our events travel service and have enjoyed moderate success with an F80 model. But I would now like to upgrade to a digital camera. I'm by no means an inexperienced photographer but don't want to mess about buying a cheap camera only to find that it doesn't do the job.

Well the D80 can shoot at 3 fps in burst mode at full resolution. Would you need anything beyond that? Also, the good news is that you can use all your old lenses with the D80.

Be advised, however, that the D80 does have a .80 millesecond delay.

Assuming you mean that you want to map your photos, I would recommend the Gisteq Photo Trackr.. Does just that using GPS. So yes, you can use them.
