The best UZ camera to date. (Megapixel.net - 7/31/03)

The extra-low dispersion glass used in the lens of the Olympus C-740 produces very good images, and eliminates most of the chromatic aberration visible in other ultra-zoom cameras. Shutter lag is barely noticeable, though camera shake can be a problem when shooting at full zoom without a tripod. read original review

Kudos for the Olympus C-740, which offers a great choice of exposure options and plenty of controls for creative photographers. The camera produced good color, accurate macro shots, and exhibited good battery life. For a little more, the C-750 offers audio recording and a flash hotshoe. read original review
