I want to purchase a new xd card

I have found that there are many new xd cards, but they do not work in the c-750 camera. Where can I get the older xd cards for my camera???

It's not so much age as size and speed. You can still get smaller cards. I wouldn't go above 512MB or 1GB. And using several cards, rather than one large one isn't a bad thing. Reason being, insurance. Any memory card can fail or become corrupted. And when you're on vacation the last thing you want is to lose the opportunity to take pictures until you can recover that media card with a software utility. If your card goes bad, swapping another one for it at that moment is of advantage so you can keep taking pics. Then, later when you're in front of your PC, you can use a utility like "F-Recovery" to get back your pictures and recover your card.

No need to lose the moment because you relied on one card one when several can solve that problem. At the very least, you want to get more than one of whatever size you settle on.

I agree with much of the above. Particularly re the smaller cards and the usefullness of having multiple smaller cards (unless you want to take loads of pics on highest resolution). I recently bought a 2G XD card, which works perfectly in my new E series Olympus point and shoot, but won't even format in my C-750.

I also wondered whether it was the size of the card, as I have a 256 MB card which works fine in either camera. I think I'll just buy a new, small card and see how that goes in the 750. At the moment I'm not sure if it's an age problem or a size problem. Remember that 2G was huge back when the 750 came out, though.

I tried a 1GB M+ xd card in my C-750 and found that it would not work. This is despite trying an on-camera format. The camera always shows a card error.

Subsequent googling found a USA Olympus site that shows the C-750 will only accept a maximum size of 512MB xd card :(

Further to previous post, I have bought from eBay a type H 512MB xd card, this works perfectly in the C-750. I was a bit concerned that the local stores no longer stock sizes small than 1GB. This size card is a good match for the 4MPixel sensor and owners of C-750 cameras should consider purchasing a 512MB card before they are no longer available.
