How can I replace the backup battery (loses date when I change the 4 main batts.)?

There must be an internal capacitor of small battery which maintains the date during changing of main batteries. Mine has failed. How to repair?

Hi,

I'm not sure if your camera is in or out of warranty, but if it's still under warranty coverage, opening up the camera yourself might void the warranty. If so, you should contact Olympus customer support here and see what they say to do.

If you're out of warranty, this message board thread might have some pertinent information for you. It's about a different model of camera, but it suggests that your problem is common across much of Olympus's line of digitals. Good luck!
