My D-540 just died - have no idea why
(Julia Ciliberti - 11/9/06)I owned the D-540 for less than a year and a half. The pictures were great - no complaints. then, it stopped dead with no warning. I mean DEAD!!! It will not turn on even though the batteries are charged. The computer won't even recognize it. The people at the camera store can't figure it out. How convenient that my warranty ran out, too. So..I saved money in the short run by spending only a buck seventy nine but now I have to buy another (more expensive model).
