The images are too soft anf lack color and have a blue saturation which may be set too high. Is there a factor default or reset? Or do I start to readjust all settings?

Use the four-way controller to go into Setup Menu 1. At the bottom should be Custom Reset Setting where you can Set or Clear All saved settings to restore defaults.
