Olympus E-300 EVOLT Details

Editors' Comments

Not just another SLR, the 8-megapixel Olympus E-300 EVOLT distinguishes itself from the rest of the pack with a "supersonic wave filter" which eliminates dust from the camera's image sensor. Poised to compete with the Nikon D70 and the Canon Digital Rebel, the Olympus E-300 is available with a lens for less than $1000. Its body design is unique, as the viewfinder has been shifted to the side, eliminating the hump usually seen on the top of an SLR. The supersonic wave filter is designed to keep the CCD dust free by vibrating briefly at startup (or on command) to remove particles on the image sensor.
