Hi Kevin,
I would use the Zuiko Digital 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 lens. When taking pictures, try to use focal length around 40-54mm, especially when photographing individuals. Sometimes you can not walk far enough from the subject, then you can still use shorter focal length of this lens. About settings... well it depends on your taste. I would use manual focus and aperture 4. Therefore, when I focus to the subject, the background will be unsharp and the subject will look better.
