You could try looking on Bangkok ebay, or Asia ebay and see if you can find it there. If you can find a reputable dealer I think it would be cheaper than trying to find the camera at a store there because of the markup. Make sure that if you do find it on ebay that the dealer is reputable and won't rip you off.

Pantip plaza has several camera stores where you can canvass for deals.
