The E-420 enters the digital SLR market as the smallest and lightest model available by a good 20 to 40 percent, weighing only 380 grams or a little less than a pound. In addition, it features a new and improved version of Olympus's Live View feature, which provides an autofocused preview image before shooting. Aside from these big draws, the E-420 offers a solid 10 megapixel sensor, the standard 4/3 Olympus mount, and a good ISO range of 100-1600. This baby dSLR should be ideal for a beginner or as a backup and support rig for a professional.
