You're better off resizing images using a photo editor like Picasa (free at Google). Another good choice is Adobe Photo Elements. This gives you better options such as cropping, sharpening, etc. Relying on the camera to do the resizing will mean accepting the choices the camera makes based on it's programming. It doesn't take into account personal choice, lighting, whether you want to enhance one part or not. And you can only resize so much.

I prefer to let the camera do what it does best - take pictures, and let software do what it does best - manipulation of those images.

My question was really not answered. I asked if the camera had the capability to resize, not whether a photo editor is a good choice. I was only looking for a yes or no answer. Maybe I used the wrong terminology. Sometimes I take photos, and then I want to bring them in closer and resize them to my liking. Can this camera do that? Thanks.

Yes, you can do it. It can Resize, Crop, do Shadow Adjustment, even edit They are fairly common features. I'm pointing out that you have greater control using software.
