A large, reputable on-line DEALER (e.g., fox photo, newegg, best buy, compusa, etc.) should have all-new equipment. Anybody selling used equipment so state so.

On the other hand, if you are talking about a site like Amazon, where anybody in the world can sell you something, the merchandise runs the gamut from broken to brand-new.

this is a older model but there is nothing wrong with it and personaly i rather have a good sollid 6 MP camera than a overrated 10 MP compact, because the sensor and the lens are the most important things a digital camera (compact and dslr) i bought one yesterday second hand for 89 euro that is a fair price for this model. buying by Amazon you have to read the text good , replacing a lcd is expensive and one advantage above analogue is that you are able to see the result (if the camera is working good)

check to warranty and if the dealer for $138 has good conditions (trading conditions , waranty and service what usually helps is google the name of the shop with And Complains (EXAMPLE : lets say the dealer is called newegg you type this into google": newegg and complaints) so you see what other customers have gone through , positive and negative!
