the 1050 is suposed to replace the 1030 but it's only good to 3 meters water nd 1 1/2 meter impact why?the 1030 was 10meters and 3 meter impact?

I had my camera taken in Brazil, the replacement in my opinnion is not equivelent to the original, U can't go as deep or drop it from as high...

Well, one can only assume that the rated specs and the actual performance weren't the same. There's no reason to back off the depth and height requirement unless you realize the design doens't support it. IMHO, of course.
