Which camera is better, the Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 or the Olympus FE-230?

I don't need high tech features. Just a good camera that takes clear pics, has a good battery life, and about a 2.5" LCD screen. Just an all around good camera that costs about $200. One that lasts a pretty long time also.

Hi,

well, the Sony has a little bit faster lens, better macro, optical viewfinder and video comes with audio. So by the specifications the Sony is more advanced camera.
The clarity of pictures depends more on you and light conditions. Any camera may go out of order, especially if dropped or exposed to rain. But if you take good care of your camera then most likely it will last until you will buy newer and better one.

The only thing steering me away from the Sony is the lack of image stabilization. I may have a steady hand, but I want to be able to take clear pictures from moving vehicles like boats and cars as well.
