Pictures in daylight gets to bright in the upper part of the picture

Is this a framing issue or do you believe that it's actually part of the camera? Shooting with the sunlight coming over your shoulder and into the subject, or are you taking pictures with the sun coming towards you and the camera?

You could try using a fill flash, it will give you the added benefit of making your subject "pop" in the picture.

Another thing to check is Power LCD function or adjusting the brightness of the screen in settings if this just appears on the LCD screen. Page 98 of the manual outlines troubleshooting for this.
