Hard to beat for family and vacation pics!
( - 6/19/06)We just got back from our vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains. And I couldn't be happier with our pictures and the quality of them. I am no photographer, but my wife and I took really good pictures with this camera. Red eye is minimal and the color quality is great. We were taking the bypass by Gatlinburg and pulled over to at an over look of Gatlinburg. I took a picture at 35mm and them zoomed in at 420mm. We were impressed! The quality didn't suffer from the long zoom. And the noise everyone is talking about is above my head. I suppose if you try to use this for professional work, then you will notice it. But it's a $500 camera, not one of those four digit priced cameras. Come on, let's be reasonable. My wife loves it for scrapbooking as well. I couldn't be more happy thus far. We will have many memories of our two boys as they grow up from there current ages of 6 and 2. I can't wait to get some time and really see what this camera is fully capable of doing. There are so many options you can chose from, and they aren't difficult to figure out. Like I said earlier, this is a great armature or family camera and fully recommend it. My biggest gripe is that the lens cap doesn't have a tether to the camera. Other than that, I give it an A+!
