Best Camera for the Price - Period

( - 3/24/06)

This camera is routinely compared to SLR cameras costing 2x-3x more. How is this fair? This is akin to comparing a Toyota to a Ferarri....hmmmmm a Ferarri at a Toyota price.

A fair comparrison would be to compare it to cameras in the same price catagory against similar features...Features people care about like image sharpness, ease of use, and functions like zoom, and manual control...not to mention image stabilization. Even the SLR cams can't compete with the image stabilization function.

After doing my homework and reading between the lines I selected this camera. The only thing I would recommend is that you go and buy a 1G memory card (I bought 2) and an extra battery while waiting for your camera to ship as you will want to keep shooting and shooting once you get it.
