Bang for the buck

( - 12/29/05)

The FZ30 is a great value. The Leica lens is superb with the best image stabilization I've ever experienced. The lens also zooms (manual) and focuses (auto or manual) internally resulting in a same size lens regardless of the lens settings. Very versatile with many controls to give a broad spectrum of photographic capabilities. Noise at higher ISO levels can be saved a bit by shutting off the sharpen control. Image quality is superb in daylight and flash gives no redeye. Shutter is quick. I'd reccommend this camera to anyone who likes to play with controls or place on full auto and still get great shots.
