I SHOOT MAINLY AT 80 ISO AND CROP TO 4X6 IS 10 MP BEST OR IS 6MP

I HAVE THREE KODAK EASY'S - 643 +CX AND DX - I WANT TO GET BETTER PIX THE C (3.2) SEEMS TO TAKE LESS DISTORTED PIX THAN THE DX (5.0) AND EVEN THE 643 AT 6.2 IS NOT AS GOOD THEY ALL SHOW "SAWTOOTH" ON EDGES AND I CAN SEE PIXELS ???
I AM CONSIDERING A640 CANON AT 10 MP
I USED TO SHOOT A NIKON 35MM AT SMALL LENS OPENING WITH THE CAMERA CHOOSING SHUTTER SPEED FOR SHARPER PIX AND ALWAYS USED 80 ISO OUTDOORS AND 200 INDOORS
HELP ME CHOOSE - I AM RETIRED AND WOULD LOVE TO OWN A SLR DIG. BUT $$$$ - I'D LIKE TO STAY UNDER 250.00 IF POSS.
WHATS YOUR TAKE ON "FACT. REFURB. ???

Well since you looking to not get huge stills i would say you will be totally fine with a 6MP camera. They will be perfectly clear even if taken alrage images then cropped. Make sure you are cropping and not magnifying.

A great new camera that I would recommed is the Panasonic Lumix FX10, it has 6MP, great image stablization good ISO range, good price, new technology. I would stay away from Refurbished cameras unless you are really desperate for a cheap SLR.

Good Luck
