Taking pictures of archival text material

We are primarily interested in a pocket size digital camera that will take clear pictures of text materials. Often the text is 19th and 20th century handwriting of historical handwritten documents in national archives. Thank you

Just about any digital camera will work for this, although some have specific presets which will optimize the camera to shoot text images. Where you really want to spend your money is on a good light box setup to light the material evenly. Hammacher Schlemmer has a great one which includes 3 small fill lights for about $80.
