I cannot turn the burst feature off.

Pressing the burst button has no effect except in auto mode. I am able to see the burst settings in auto mode but selecting the off option does not turn burst off for other modes.

There should be a Burst Mode button next to the Image stabilization button, pushing that button toggles the bursts from high to low to infinite, so pushing that should change the options until the burst is off. You may have to change the option under P for it to affect all of the other options, or change each option individually.

First thing I would do is reset the camera. This is a fairly easy procedure which involves either going into your setup menu and choosing "reset," holding down the menu key for 5 seconds, or, removing the batteries for a few minutes. It may be that the firmware loading got corrupted and the camera just needs to be "rebooted," which is something that turning it on/off won't accomplish. But after which, you should have the camera reset to factory default settings.

Another tip is to go to Panasonic's website and look for firmware updates. Download and install them.

Resetting the camera did the trick. Thank you very much. Panasonic Tech Support did not help but is supposed call me back. I've been laboring with the problem for two days. Thank you again.
