Yes, it does. The native ratio is 4:3, but it also takes 3:2 and 16:9 as well. The 16:9 ratio can be set to three different MP sizes. The 4:3 ratio has 5 size options, and the 3:2 ratio has 4 size options.
Enjoy, Larry

I'll just warn you that when you use a ratio other than the native 4:3 the magapixels will be lower. Because the CCD sensor is a 4:3 size when you tell the camera to shoot in 3:2 or 16:9 ration it is only using a portion of the CCD therefore using less quality. I have the Panasonic FZ30 the model that came before the FZ50 and it is only 8MP. So id I shoot in 4:3 format I get my full 8MP If I shoot in 3:2 format it goes down to 7MP If I shoot in 16:9 format it goes down again to 5.5 MP to I end up 2.5MP less than the original 8MP. The actual numbers will differ because the FZ50 starts with 10MP, but the effect will be the same. I thought I should make you aware of this before you start shooting at 16:9 and think you are getting 10MP images.

Thanks,
It won't be so bad when started with 10MP for 4:3 format, then the guality will be down to 8MP for 16:9 format.
