Which one: Panasonic LZ7, cannon sd 1000 or A560?

I am a novice, and only care about size factor, ease of use and relative quality of images (and price, of course). So I don't need all the manual controls, viewsite or most impressive camera on the market. That said, I am not familiar with panasonic as a camera manufacturer. are the lenses good enough, are they built well compared to other major brands, can I go wrong with this relatively new product?
Thank you for answreing-- I am very impressed with this website & forum so far.

The LZ 7 comes highly rated here on the forums as you can tell. And
for comparison, you may want to check out this resource. It takes pictures with each and you can compare them side by side.

I'm looking at it and the image quality of the lenses is quite comparable. Although I think that when you look real close, the tones and colors for the SD1000 and the A560 are more natural. And sharper too. It's not a case of the LZ7's lenses being bad, just Canon's being that much better, IMHO.
