Which camera is better? Panasonic DMCTZ1A or the Nikon Coolpix S10?

I am trying to decide between these two cameras. I have narrowed it down to these two based on two criteria, a decent optical zoom (as I currently have the Konica Minolta Z1 with the 12x zoom but it is VERY bulky) and size. Both fit the bill. I have tried the S4 but was disappointed by the increased red eye in the photos despite their claim to have red eye reduction. I have not tried the Panasonic or the newer Nikon model. I am not a "professional" photographer by any means but am not satisfied with point and shoot models. Price range between the two are more or less negligeable and one good feature is that the Nikon has a 2 yr manufacturer's warranty vs Panasonic's one. HELP!

There are only few specifications that are slightly different if we compare those 2 cameras. TZ1 lens is a little bit more wide and has better aperture- 2.8 versus S10's 3.5. Please read also our reviews and ratings: http://www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digital-cameras/nikon-coolpix-s10_reviews.html for the Nikon and http://www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digital-cameras/panasonic-lumix-tz1_reviews.html for the Panasonic one.
