hello -- your best bet is the 12 volt cigarette liter or 12 volt accessory orifice found in most vechicles.. you can buy a adopter cord for your battery charger this accepts 12 volts and has the 12V standard auto plug in. Porter camera and B H photo probably sell them.. some autos have a always HOT 12V orifice which means you can recharge your Panasonic DMC TZ 3 battery with the motor OFF , otherwise, the motor may have to be running to have the 12V recharger work.. Panasonic may supply it also as a accessory , direct. It is a trickle type charge , so the auto battery should be able to handle it with no sweat-- of course back up batteries are a MUST for long field trip photo shoots, make sure they are all fully charged before embarking-- Ask Panasonic phone rep for help . A Solar powered electricity unit sounds to good to be true, and you know thew saying. "If it seems to good to be true. watch out" !!! Enjoy all the great photo ops you will have.---hal5141 --- PS a tip- Use of flash will cut your battery life, as will constant reviewing of your photos. Keep reviewing at the bare minimum til you get to electricity , for the most part. Also, try to remember 50 percent flash use will lower your batteries charge by about 33 percent , more than if you do not use flash

you pay for what you get- panasonic name brand accesorries cost more than genric items of the same ilk- the quality can not be the same if the price is low-- buy only the list number Panasonic places on its batteries, not the size, which is subject to genric duplication ,then you know you have the real thing-- a solar powered 12 volt battery
charger is not out of the relm of reality-- again , let panasonic guide you, they have excellent serve reps on the phone that are very Panasonic knowledgeable hal5141
