What is the best lens for outdoor sports?

My sons play football and soccer. We just purchased the K20D and would like to make sure that if a secondary lens needs to be purchased, we get the right one. Any recomendations?

Well obviously, you want the fastest lens you can afford. Are you going to be shooting from the sidelines or from the stands? Either way, you'll want a good deep zoom lens up to 400mm if you really want to get into the action. But remember that the larger the lens, the more a need for a good tripod or monopod to keep it steady. IN the end, it comes down to what your budget is.
