SOLID

( - 5/15/06)

When considering my purchase of this particular camera I had to consider my relative lack of knowledge in the area of photography and also my need to learn very quickly in order to capture professional quality images. I am a metalsmith by trade and have recently been given the challenging charge of taking over all the product photography for the company I work for.
I bought the Pentax Optio 750Z because of its large number of different settings options, including full manual which is an absolute necessity when a very specific type of image is required, something I learned immediately. One of the great options for spontaneous settings changes when you need a quick shot is in automatic mode you can navigate a simple menu that gives you options in the form of small icons for things like portraits, food, sports, landscapes, low light, sunlight, etc.
Another reason I bought it is for its EASE OF USE AND NAVIGATION through the different settings options. It is an ostensibly simple point and shoot camera, but its capabilities far exceed its vintage look. I recommend this machine to anyone who needs to learn quickly about digital photography for personal or professional purposes.
